the skull sets

skulls have been cropping up in my work more and more and i think they are becoming a permanent thing.
this is one of a four piece set of prints i just handed in on tuesday (soft-ground and stencil).

and these are my two most recent paintings, handed in last week. the assignment was that the objects in the still life had to represent you/interests and the first painting uses yellow, and the second painting uses yellow and red (we've been gradually adding colors to our palettes).

more & less

first print of the semester, handed in this past thursday. linocut and drypoint. it's a little wonky, but it's a start.
sorry my pictures aren't so great, i can't find my proper camera.

patches!

only three so far, but i'm also working on a beet one to go with the carrot. also, my friend melissa just gave me the awesome idea to make day of the dead patches and hair clips (currently i just make flower clips). all these things will be sold at the student run store on campus, Mixed Nuts. sweetness!
