skull la la la

it is funny because my computer takes pictures backwards, but linoleum blocks print backwards, so now this just looks the way it did on the block. if that makes any sense.

newest painting, a transcription assignment for class. copied from Lisa Yuskavage's "Day". critiqued today, but i think i might go back and work on some of it.

the skull sets

skulls have been cropping up in my work more and more and i think they are becoming a permanent thing.

this is one of a four piece set of prints i just handed in on tuesday (soft-ground and stencil).

and these are my two most recent paintings, handed in last week. the assignment was that the objects in the still life had to represent you/interests and the first painting uses yellow, and the second painting uses yellow and red (we've been gradually adding colors to our palettes).

first print of the semester, handed in this past thursday. linocut and drypoint. it's a little wonky, but it's a start.
